Nanko Releases New Single

NankoThe smash single “Lucky You” propelled Nanko from a virtual unknown into a household name. The Spanish Town-based singer has released a follow up single, “From Ever Since.”

His latest single “From Ever Since” finds the crooner making a trek in unfamiliar territory. “The song is about anybody who misses someone deeply. You might not see the person physically, but spiritually they are there,” Nanko explained.

Singer Wayne Marshall is making a strong impact at radio and on the charts with some hot new singles from his catalogue. His latest ear candies include “I Forgot Them” on Leftside and Esco’s Galore rhythm; “Dying For a Cure” on Wayne Morris’ Purple Skunk label; and “Forgive Them Please” on the Camp Fire label.

It’s a tapestry of sounds—the roots heavy songs of Bob Marley interwoven with street savvy dancehall from his youngest son, Damian Marley. “Junior Gong,” as Damian is affectionately referred to in reggae circles, weaved the new and the old together in an enticing manner at San Francisco’s Warfield Theater on Friday, February 10. It was the first of a two-night stint.
